| A residential site with an Indian essence. The basic
theme was to be traditional & ethnic;
which was brought out in the furniture & accessories.
At the entrance one is greeted with miniature Tanjore pain-
tings and intricately carved wooden consoles that display the client's Ganpati idols. The living space is demarcated into two well defined areas by altering the flooring and false ceiling details and introducing |

| a carved wooden column. Two bold Jharokas stand out in the otherwise subtly done living area. This area leads on to the balcony with a traditionally carved swing . The dining area is highlighted by a stained glass panel on the ceiling that mirrors the base of the table. The chairs have a woven cane back rest. The bedroom in contrast to the rest of the house is designed on modern lines with laminated burl veneer highlighting the furniture. The gold finish accessories give it a rich look, along with the glass console atop a richly carved wooden bracket at the foot of the bed retaining a little of the Indian theme. | ||
