| A soft furnishing & carpet showroom was designed in Egyptian style. The ruin- like effect using a lotus rather than the predictable pyramid or sphinx gives the atmosphere Egyptian exoticism. At the entrance a life-size statue of Cleopatra- moulded in fibre glass sitting on a carpet and leaning against a pillow makes a perfect picture. Dummy columns cast in fibreglass start at the basement level and rise up, to culminate into lotus shaped capitals. The Egyptian look is enhanced with the blackened copper finish given to the wood work. | |
